We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect through ejnbuild.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Through the enquiry form on this website we collect your name, email address, phone number and suburb, plus anything else you choose to tell us about the project you are planning. We collect this only because you choose to send it to us. You do not have to give us any of it to browse this site.
If you become a client, we will collect more — site addresses, plans, contract and payment details, and records created during the build. That information is covered by this policy too.
To respond to your enquiry, to give you a feasibility answer and an indicative cost and timeline, and to contact you about your project. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Enquiries are stored in our customer relationship system, hosted by HighLevel, and in our email accounts, hosted by Zoho. Both are access-controlled and available only to EJN Build staff who need them. Project records created during a build — including inspection records and site photographs — are held in our own project management and inspection systems on infrastructure we control, behind authenticated access.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. By submitting an enquiry you consent to that overseas storage.
During a build we take photographs to record inspections, hold points and progress. These record building work, not people. If a photograph does show an identifiable person we will not publish it without their consent. We do not publish photographs of a client's property as marketing material without the client's written permission.
This site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, including those set by our website platform when you submit the enquiry form. We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after two years. Client and project records are kept for as long as Victorian building law and our insurance obligations require, which is at least the statutory warranty period.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email [email protected] and we will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
We may update this policy. The current version always sits at this address with the date it was last changed.
